This policy explains how unmake (the "App"), developed by the developer, handles your information on iOS, iPadOS and macOS, and how the unmake website handles it.
What the App collects
Nothing. The App has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. I don't operate any servers that the App sends data to.
How blocking works
unmake hides feeds and page elements using Safari's built-in content-blocking and extension features. The sites you visit are processed locally on your device to apply your settings. Your browsing activity, the pages you view, and their content are never sent to me or to anyone else.
Your settings
Your preferences, such as which sites, elements and themes you've turned on or off, are stored locally on your device.
If you use iCloud, your settings may sync between your devices through Apple's iCloud service. That data is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and I can't access it.
Crash reports
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide me with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These don't identify you, and I use them only to fix bugs. You can turn this off at any time in your device's privacy settings.
Purchases
Any purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. I never receive your payment details.
This website
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The website doesn't use cookies, advertising, or third-party tracking.
Contacting me
If you email me, I'll use your email address and the contents of your message only to reply to you. I won't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone. You can ask me to delete our correspondence at any time.
Children
The App doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the effective date above. If the App ever starts collecting data, this policy will be updated before that happens.
